Phone Call Privacy Policy

 Metamorph AI Labs ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Phone Call mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Access

The App is designed to work primarily on your device. We access the following only to provide the App's core features:

  • Call Log (READ_CALL_LOG): to display your recent calls and to identify and manage callers. We only read your call log; we do not modify or delete it.
  • Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): to match incoming and recent numbers with your saved contacts and display names inside the App.
  • Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE): to detect incoming and outgoing calls so the App can show caller information and the after-call screen.
  • Caller ID & Spam Role / Call Screening: when you choose to block a number, you may set the App as your device's default "Caller ID & spam" app. This allows the App to screen incoming calls and automatically decline calls from numbers you have added to your block list. You can remove this role at any time in your device settings.
  • Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): to show the call end / after-call screen with caller details on top of other apps.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to alert you about calls, blocked calls, and App updates.
  • App Install Monitoring: [Keep only if used] with your consent, the App can notify you when applications are installed or removed from your device, as part of its monitoring feature. This is processed on-device and app lists are not sent to our servers. 
  • Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): to show the incoming-call and after-call (call end) screens over other apps. 
  • Network (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): for app functionality, updates, and [if applicable] looking up caller/spam information.
  • Device (WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, VIBRATE, READ_SYNC_SETTINGS): to keep calls active, run call services reliably, and provide alerts.

2. How We Use Information

We use the accessed information solely to: identify callers, show recent calls, display and match contacts, screen and block numbers you choose, and show the after-call screen. Call log and contact data are processed on your device and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.

3. Information We Do Not Sell or Share

We do not sell, rent, or share your sensitive information — including contact names, phone numbers, or call log data — with any third party for marketing or any unrelated purpose.

4. Analytics

The App may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand aggregate, non-identifying usage such as how often features are opened. This data does not include your call log, contact details, or the content of your calls.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers optional paid subscriptions. All payments are processed by Google Play Billing; we do not collect or store your payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled, and you can manage or cancel them anytime in the Google Play Store under Subscriptions. Any applicable free-trial and pricing terms are shown before purchase.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because call log and contact data are processed on-device, they remain under your control. You can stop all access by revoking permissions in your device settings or by uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored App data. For any other data-related request, contact us at the email below and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We apply reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
